Let us just say, Shadow is a character! He LOVES to play with toys and is very motivated by treats. Shadow even learned to sit for a snack. We believe he is a Lab/Shepherd mix, approximately 3 years old, and is already neutered and ready to jump right in to his next adventure. If you would like to meet this handsome fella, please visit the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter. Your new best friend is waiting for you. Shadow is a 3 year old Lab mix that was surrendered to the shelter. As you can see in video #1, he really wants out of his cage and loves nothing more than playing and chasing treats. He is very food motivated and should be a great dog to train. If you are interested in Shadow, please visit the Patrick County Public Animal Shelter. Adoption fees are $10 and include spay/neuter surgery and rabies vaccine. This dog has been available for 2 days

Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the U.S. die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message. SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car. Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.
The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.
At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.
Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS. Please do not risk their safety. If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe. Click here for more information.
FREE SERVICES FOR COMMUNITY CATS IN PATRICK COUNTY.
For cats born outdoors, the outside world is not something to escape, it is home.
Research shows that community cats in managed colonies are often just as healthy as indoor pets. Once they are fixed, everything improves, less roaming, less fighting, better overall health, and colonies naturally stabilize over time.
Are you feeding outside cats and need help preventing unwanted litters of kittens?
BRAWL is the recipient of a grant from United Spay Alliance to offer free spay/neuter services to community cats in Patrick County. Cats selected for this program will receive a spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, ear-tip, and a one-month flea treatment at no cost to the caretaker. If you are interested in this service, please complete the spay/neuter inquiry form by clicking here and someone will contact you. Note: you must be willing to bring the cat in a trap or carrier to Rotary Field in Stuart on the designated surgery day.
We want to provide Kongs to entertain the dogs
in the kennels while they wait for a forever home.
We fill them with smooth Peanut Butter. If you would like to donate Peanut Butter for the dogs it should be smooth not chunky,
and must not contain Xylitol as that is toxic for dogs, the brand does not matter. Click here for more info on how to donate.
