The Blue Ridge Animal Welfare League will be hosting a cat and dog Rabies vaccination day on Saturday, November 14th, 11am-1pm at Rotary Field in Stuart for Patrick County residents.
The cost is $10 for one year (cash only), $12 for a 3 year booster if you have proof of current rabies vaccination. Proof of Patrick County residency required.

Spaying and neutering helps prevent unplanned litters and offers important health benefits for your pet. Through this special program, eligible Patrick County residents can access these services at absolutely no cost.

For cats born outdoors, the outside world is not something to escape, it is home.
Research shows that community cats in managed colonies are often just as healthy as indoor pets. Once they are fixed, everything improves, less roaming, less fighting, better overall health, and colonies naturally stabilize over time.
Are you feeding outside cats and need help preventing unwanted litters of kittens?
BRAWL is the recipient of a grant from United Spay Alliance to offer free spay/neuter services to community cats in Patrick County. Cats selected for this program will receive a spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination, ear-tip, and a one-month flea treatment at no cost to the caretaker. If you are interested in this service, please complete the spay/neuter inquiry form by clicking here and someone will contact you. Note: you must be willing to bring the cat in a trap or carrier to Rotary Field in Stuart on the designated surgery day.
We want to provide Kongs to entertain the dogs
in the kennels while they wait for a forever home.
We fill them with smooth Peanut Butter. If you would like to donate Peanut Butter for the dogs it should be smooth not chunky,
and must not contain Xylitol as that is toxic for dogs, the brand does not matter. Click here for more info on how to donate.

Loki’s favorite game is to look for any opportunity to escape, so a skilled and patient owner familiar with the breed is a must. Once he realizes he is not going anywhere, he calms down and enjoys being brushed. - Adoption of dogs is open to residents of Carroll, Patrick, Floyd, Franklin and Henry County, VA
- Dogs that have been spayed/neutered are available for adoption to any location including out of state residents (adoption conditions apply).
If you are interested in a dog but live outside the adoption area, contact your local rescue and ask them to 'pull' the dog for you so that you can adopt it from them.
